Holiday Season ALREADY

Time flies when you are having fun.  Yes friends, that is exactly what I am doing, fun with friends, family and befriending some talented handmade artists and artisans locally, nationally and internationally.  My lack of posts is not due to lack of ideas.  In fact it is completely the opposite.  I have so many ideas written, pinned, saved and swirling around in this little head of mine it is difficult to keep from blogging about them.  But, I must wait...  until the official launch of  the Wind and Willow Home shop.
It is coming! When the days start getting longer and Spring is on our minds.  For now, please feel free to check out the Twin Cities Design Collective where I will be writing about fantastic local (Minnesota) talent.  You can also follow me on Pinterest where you can get a sneak peak into some the things you may see at Wind and Willow Home. Oh, and Make Sure you are a friend on Facebook for the newest updates!

Soaking Up Summer

I have been on a little blogging hiatus lately and I think it is going to continue for a little while.  For now I am going to take some time to enjoy the last weeks of Summer with my family and friends.
Not to worry, I am working on a few things, well a lot of things for the beginning of 2012.  The next few months are going to be very busy and I couldn't be more excited.

You can find me blogging about local (Twin Cities-Minnesota) art and talent as the Art Editor at the Twin Cities Design Collective.

Wonderful Wood Silhouettes| Oh Dier

What do you get when you mix a lovely local (Twin Cities) husband and wife team, a little wood and a bit of quirkiness?  Oh Dier!  For a little more on this dynamic duo check out my full article at the Twin Cities Design Collective.  Not only do they make wonderful words with wood they also make these beautiful, nature inspired silhouettes.   I just love them!

Little Progress|New Opportunities

If you haven't noticed I have been trying to post one article per week about what is new with Wind and Willow Home and what I have learned in this process over the previous week.  Well, last week wasn't a very productive week in the world of business for me.  My business plan has gotten little attention for several reasons including beautiful beach weather, family vacations, end of Summer work around the house, new opportunities and funding disappointment.

On the bright side one good reason for my lack of progress on the business plan is a new venture.  I have been offered the opportunity to write about local art and promote local artists for the Twin Cities Design Collective.  As the Art Editor I will be meeting new people and keeping a pulse on the local art scene.  This weekend myself and my trusty assistant (aka 3 1/2 year old daughter) ventured out to the Uptown Art Fair to meet new artists.  It was a fun trip, not only did I get so see amazing art from around the country, I was also able to meet new people and find new products to post here at Wind and Willow Home.  I look forward to sharing some of my finds right here in the weeks to come.
