Countdown to Spring : Popular Patterns

It's hard to talk about trends in fashion or design without mentioning a few bold patterns that have been showing up all over this Spring.  The arrival of floral patterns seems inevitable but this year we are seeing some really bold and even a little vintage in style, like the ones pictured below.

Of course I can't talk patterns without the fun geometric patterns, often found in Southwest decor or native style design that are popping up everywhere.  This includes the popular chevron and the Ikat that have been extremely popular for the past few years but now we are seeing some modern twists that ever loved horizontal zig-zag.

Finally, the gradient or ombre pattern seems to be peaking this Spring.  It has been mentioned on the Decor8 blog and is seen in different interpretations all over fashion and home furnishings.
